About Us

The law firm of Babb & Brown, P.C. began on November 1, 1975, as the Law Office of Everette H. Babb. From its start as a one attorney and one secretary law office, Babb & Brown, P.C. has grown to a full service law firm. We now consist of five attorneys and a well-trained staff of paralegals and legal secretaries. The growth of the firm has been steady and measured—due, in part, to a strong foundation of loyal clients.

Serving Our Clientele

In 1992, the growth of the firm became physically apparent as it moved into its state-of-the-art building located at 505 West Butler Road. This move enabled the firm to better serve its clientele with additional conference rooms and the most advanced office technology available.

The firm of Babb & Brown, P.C. as it is known today was established in 1996 when J. Chris Brown became a partner in the firm. H. Steward James joined the firm as an associate in 2002 and became a partner in 2006. Continued growth for Babb & Brown, P.C. has lead to the addition of Jonathan P. Whitehead in 2006 as an associate concentrating in the areas of litigation and real estate.

From its beginning, Babb & Brown, P.C. has continued to gain respect as one of the leading real estate law firms in the Upstate. The litigation portion of this firm is also on a course to become a leading litigation firm. With the additions of J. Chris Brown, H. Stewart James, and Jonathan P. Whitehead, the firm has proven its ability to serve the community in the fields of litigation, family law, probate law, corporate, and business law.
